Check your numbers: Free lottery ticket redeemed in Broward hits jackpot prize

Lady Luck keeps smiling on Broward, where seven lottery tickets purchased at stores across the county have won or shared jackpot prizes in a little more than two weeks.

The latest: A nearly $112,000 Fantasy 5 winner with a free ticket acquired at a store in Lauderhill.

The player hit the jackpot in the Thursday, June 18, evening drawing, matching all five numbers to win $111,653.94, Florida Lottery results show.

The ticket came from the Bedessee East-West Indian Food store at 4000 NW 12th St., and the winning numbers were 3-8-11-13-35.

It was the second big winner to come from Lauderhill this month, following a $59,000 prize on June 12.

The winner used the Quick Pick option and had the computer terminal randomly generate five numbers. The player matched all five, beating out the 1-in-376,992 odds of winning the jackpot prize.

Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.

Fantasy 5 drawings happen twice a day. There was no winner in the June 18 midday drawing.
